Good work Gene, I agree the motors need a thread. Know anything about the Cadillac?

Good idea splitting the post Gene. That Cadillac was a big bugger seems like Ian Hendry had a hard time driving it. Or was it his massive hangover from the night before?

I've got a story about this too DE but the joke that is photo-bucket has been out of action for 24 hours now so I can't upload pictures. Bear with me..... GH.

Yeah photo-bucket was a bit of a pain when trying to upload the GC stuff I took on the train recently. Might sort a Flickr account out soon just in case.

Right, the Cadillac. Or to be more precise, the 2 Cadillac cars used in Get Carter. The first one we see is driven along by Eric Paice. This is a 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special. The second one, in red, is also a 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special. However, this one is a little more interesting as it actually belonged to co-producer of Get Carter, Michael Klinger. As Carter would say... Not a lot of people know that! Gene.

Top work. Looking at the shots there are obvious differences, especially the Jag's. Must admit to not spotting it in the film.

I would never have spotted the differences while watching. Thanks for posting them up Gene. Even now after watching it so many times ahead of the meet I still get so engrossed in the film itself that I overlook such details. Just shows how good the film must be! Sam.

Interestingly, Michael Klinger's private plate FTN1 now sits on a 2013 Ford Galaxy.
Kinnears ELM5C is no longer in use.
Of the two Cortinas Jack drove:
YBB371H went out of circulation in 1978. YBB372H No records found
Of the two Jags Peter & Con used:
XLE33G sat on a 1968 Morris 1300 estate until 1983.
Gloria's Sunbeam:
NVK620F No records found.
Gene.
