Nice find Batgirl. had a sneaky look on the web and seems Club Retro do have a 70s/Disco vibe to it. Wonder if they'll incorporate the vibe of 'Mickey's Disco' a well known Melbourne nightlife haunt of the 70s.

I started this thread because I have seen a few places like this lately.

This cafe is called 'Fresh As Bread'. Great atmosphere and records playing all the time. You can see the owner's car out the front.

Looks like a mix of decades going on there Batgirl. The coffee machine looks to be 50's inspired, the shelving and general décor looks to be 60's, but the car is certainly early to mid 70's. I'm not complaining though, looks an interesting place for a cuppa and a bit of scoff. Sam.

Nice finds Batgirl. There's a lot of interest in retro over here too. ? I'm noticing lots of new higher end furniture is in a distinct 60's style. I'd love to do a room in a 60's or 70's style but i'm not allowed The mrs doesn't share my love of retro.

Mickey's Disco was a somewhat notorious St Kilda nightclub which was frequented by many Melbourne underworld figures like Chris Flannery etc. and Detective Brian Murphy in the 70's/80's. www.theage.com.au/victoria/the-dirty-dozen-20161012-gs0dsx.htmlSuppose Club Retro is more of a Aus equivalent of Flares of Reflex over here. Good threat BTW Batgirl. I'll have to find some examples myself.

The thing is we don’t have any spare rooms so it would have to be living room or bedroom and since I’ve just finished decorating the bedroom and my other half is hooked on tech (I mean how many games consoles can one man need??) I don’t think it’s going to happen! :( or at least not in this house. This is our first purchase - if we are ever lucky enough to up-size, it will definitely be on the cards in my mind

I'd be happy with a recreation of my living room from Nelson Mandela House

I'd be happy with a recreation of my living room from Nelson Mandela House As 80s flats go, I think I prefer mine! But yes. I bet someone, somewhere has done it. It must still have a huge following, Only Fools, surely?
