Ok I know he can be annoying but just found out he's resigned as host Top Gear!
I think it's just too soon. I remember when he took over Terry Wogan's radio 2 breakfast show. It was slammed. Critics hated it. But now it's my number one radio breakfast show
People need to adapt to change. Give it time !

Well he is better suited to radio. The New Top Gear, as has been said elsewhere on this forum, has been largely slated.

No doubt jumping before he's pushed, he's also currently under police investigation for historical 'Radio 1 dj like behaviour' claims. Of course it was pure arrogance by the BBC to continue with TG in the same format with new presenters & they were on a hiding to nothing with anyone new at the helm let alone a Marmite character like Chris Evans.

I wonder what they will do with the show now ? Maybe a different guest host each week. Its such a global success I doubt they'll scrap it.
I'm warming to Matt le blanc thought he was a bit wooden at first.
Eddie Jordan is just embarrassing to watch. No timing.

I've posted in the Top Gear thread too but I think that they should start with a blank sheet and allow a new team to develop a new format. Under Clarkson etc the format gradually evolved to what was a great success until Clarkson's hunger got the better of him.
A new team should start from square one again, doing car reviews, and then being allowed to develop from there.
And Sabine Schmitt needs to stop shouting too, she was spending half of her driving time squealing like VBH does in Fifth Gear and like Mike Brewer does in WD!
