And he'd better have your "undivided attention"!!
Mention was made on the Sweeney thread earlier this month by Vienna of the 93rd birthday of veteran actor Peter Vaughan.
Well it's been brought to my attention that an event is on, which may interest forum members, in London on May 29th where Peter has a book signing of his latest autobiography "Once a Villain" and a stage interview!
www.fantomfilms.co.uk/events/petervaughan/signing.html
I may have to miss this as I'm not sure I can commit 100%, but some of you I'm sure would be interested and could be a very interesting event indeed!
What's the catch?? There's only 50 places but see details above! Even if you don't make it, I'm sure his book would undoubtedly make a great read.
Cheers

I'm sure that will be interesting, 93 & still going strong.
Only this week I watched 'Symptoms' featuring Peter Vaughan, a film that was thought 'lost' until a negative was discovered a few years ago, it's now restored & available on blu-ray. One of the extras is an interview with star Angela Pleasence, she mentions that her dad Donald was best friends with Peter with whom he shared a love of cricket.

Surprising to read that Harry Grout only appeared in 3 episodes of Porridge.

Surprising to read that Harry Grout only appeared in 3 episodes of Porridge. Me too, as he is a very well known character from Porridge. He played a brilliant part though!

I noticed this at my local HMV store the other day. It says the film was lost until discovered in 2014. Peter plays a menacing gamekeeper I believe. A bit too far away for me at short notice, but thanks for bringing this event to our attention Gerry Vi
