Yeah Network do drag their feet with their releases sometimes. The stuff they're remastering/restoring I can accept but an example is partial releases of things they don't have to remaster (say Hale and Pace) and they release say the first 3-4 series but don't bother with the rest. BBC/2 Entertain are also guilty of this for example series 4 and 5 or Naked Video have not yet been released... surely there'd be some kind of market for them if the first few series are available?

Thanks for pointing this out Saint. After talking to Vienna over the weekend i'm tempted to buy Public Eye. If you do buy the individual sets from Series 4-7 or the complete box set with the book about the whole series, I hope you enjoy it, Peter Vi

To me the work done on the Professionals seems to be of higher quality than The Sweeney Blu Ray. The Pro's looks cleaner and sharper with better colour definition, even the packaging is of higher quality.
Watching the Sweeney the other day i noticed some of it looks a bit grainy in this high definition mainly in the background. Hopefully the remainder of the best Euston series ever can be done to the same level as the Professionals release.

I have to agree with you here, Derek Network also had a bit of trouble with the first episode of The Sweeney, Ringer, because the original negative was not available, so had to make do with the best available film materials. Didn't know that Vienna. To be fair I think the quality of the Pro's film they had to work with was also in a bad way. So it can be done. It's been approx 14 years since the original Sweeney cleanup was undertaken and computing has moved on a bit since then. Maybe that's why they got a better finish on the pro's stuff ?

There are quite a few good things on offer on the Network sale and I will definately be ordering several items, before the sale ends tomorrow. I see "Fox" is on offer, I've not seen that one yet. I also noticed a Patrick Mcgoohan film were he plays a hitman. It had a good review. I have a few things on my list, but I will look right through the catalogue first. Thanks once again Saint. Bronson.
