Thanks for that Del, it reads better now. I would've paragraphed it myself but I'm not the best on the keyboard. Cheers.

Thanks for that Arthur, I've been looking for the name of that play for years and its ironic because I'm a really big Kinks fan! I didn't realise it was Queenie Watts as, you're quite right, the not so "old" lady. I remember her in Yes My Dear and a few other things before. She was a character. You fellas on here certainly know your stuff, you should form a team and have a go at The Eggheads. Cheers.

Result that you capped it before it goes then D.E. It's one of the most famous scenes broadcast on british television.

I just recently re-watched 'Yosser's Story' which has been repeated on BBC Four recently and never noticed that the infamous psychiatric/case worker doctor who has the knives in for Yosser is none other than Noreen Kershaw, Phyllis from LoM. I think the last time I saw it was approx 10 or so years ago so I never noticed it and and the villains and tearaways of Hyde had nothing on the (very realistic) out of control behaviour of Yosser's whirlpool of despair. Nice to see a face in something unexpected and not at all like the character you know them well for.

Yeah I thought I recognised her before but only looking at the end titles did I recognize her as Noreen. Still even though she's younger and posher in BFTB still prefer Phyllis for me especially as that Doc goes all out on Yosser too! Both brilliant and different pieces of TV drama.
