Fabulous set of pics Batgirl. It's always great to see F1 from the fans view, and it looks like you have an excellent seat to catch the pit lane action. I hope you caught what was probably the highlight of the day - the ultra low speed crash in the pit lane between Rio Haryanto and Romain Grosjean

Well, photos we asked for and photos we got!
Great set of smudges Batgirl, thank you for posting them all up
The new qualifying system has to go. Simple as that. It was such a let down for the TV audience so it surely must have been for the paying spectator. I'm certain the race will be far more entertaining for you tomorrow.
It's good to know that from your experience, the cars are sounding better this year. I'm a big fan of the screaming banshee engines of yesteryear myself and would really welcome a return to them however unlikely.
Good luck in your quest to bag a shot with Danny.
Looking forward to your post race report
Gene.

Excellent pics Batgirl also liked the V8's too been watching the first races of that this week Haven't seen quali as such atm but from the sounds of it a bit of a hash of a format which wasn't broke and didn't need fixing Let's just go back to what we had in 2015 Bernie... Merc/Ferarri front row let battle commence

The good (breaking) news is, the silly qualifying system we saw today will be scrapped before the next race in Bahrain.

Surely this constant search for ways and means of stopping Mercedes dominance is totally unjust and unsporting. It's not their fault. The more changes they make, the further away they go from what F1 should be about.

Good. I hope the decision is made to revert back to the way it was. We don't want another half baked poorly thought through solution, and certainly not one from Ecclestone. Qualifying should be about the quickest car getting pole position .... simples.

Just watched quali myself. Not the worst but it's Q3 where it all goes Pete Tong. Why not have it like this in Q1 & Q2 but have the 10 minute shoot out as before in Q3? Also Lewis did say something interesting about why not have different forms of Quali throughout the season. A race with pre 2002 rules and a race with a single lap and a race with the previous shootout would be interesting... An idea Bernie! PS enjoy the race tomorrow (or today) Batgirl

An idea Bernie! The best sports are the simplest ones; why make it complicated? Qualifying worked fine and I didn't know it needed tweaking. It's the race day that needs sorting. Remove driver aids, make the cars less aero dynamic so cars can overtake. Having mandatory tyre stops/changes etc doesn't help either.
