For those who may be interested, plenty of retro tv stars attending with autograph sessions etc.
I have never been to a comic con event but this looks huge ! Phillip Glenister and Martin Shaw are two retro favourites.

These comic cons are big business and easily pack exhibition halls over a weekend. This one looks good with a decent line up, Batgirl To mention a few in attendance; Martin Shaw, Phillip Glenister, Christopher Lloyd, William Shatner.

Really surprised to see William Shatner on the the list? He must be a very wealthy man by now and he's got to be around 90 years of age. I wonder if he's bringing his 'mate' Mr Sulu along with him Charles.

It would be well worth attending just to see Phillip Glenister and Martin Shaw. For people living well outside London though, its the old problem of getting down there, and possibly hotel costs.
Charles.

William Shatner loves these events and does a lot them. He is indeed 90.

Has Martin Shaw done many conventions? He must've made peace with The Professionals as surely he'll be signing more smudges of Doyle than George Gently. Ah, just looked at the Phillip Glenister thread! What price Martin Shaw's artistic integrity? £45 to you guv

I can understand an actor attending a convention because he enjoys meeting fans or as an ego boost, or even, God forbid, that he's grateful to the people who grant him an often very good living ( the audience ), but the business of unreasonably high charges for signatures & photos has to be alienating for most fans. I know if I were a fan of a particular actor & he charged silly money for a signed item I'd lose respect for him unless he was on his uppers & desperate. Look at it this way, if you happened to meet William Shatner in the street & politely asked him for his autograph & he asked you for £95 you'd be a fool to give it to him, it's the corporate nature of the convention that demands the premium price tag. I've got more respect for those who don't sign autographs at all. Either sign without charge, sign for a price most people can afford or don't sign at all.
