Does anybody remember watching this many moons ago...?! The Winning Streak (1985)It is a pretty good little series with lots of action in it... Austin-Rover themselves helped with regards to providing the cars and the main dealership location. They really were trying to get back on the map in the 1980's weren't they?!?! There was also a Scalextric Metro 6R4 (very rare and collectable now this toy!) made to tie in with the series!!! This is well worth a peek if you have the time... What do you think of it?!

Can't recall watching it but was amused to see Graham Fellows, aka Jilted John & John Shuttleworth in that clip!

I think I vaguely remember this series on at the time but didn't watch it, and not sure if my parents did. I'm sure there were trailers for it. Looks like Austin Rover were using the series for some Ford style product placement! Might give it a try later!

It's well worth a watch.
I have to admit that it is a little patchy in places but it's a fascinating period piece nonetheless!!
Beware though, watching it will make you want a Rover SD1 Vitesse...!

I can't say that I remember watching the series but I did know of the Scalextric 6R4 that was produced as I had one years ago. There were 400 produced which isn't really too limited but they are sought after now. It was the C360 Ternco Metro 6R4 and I sold mine years ago when once thinning out my collection. If I remember rightly I sold it for around £45 but now you can expect to pay somewhere around £175 for a lightly used one and probably £250 for a mint boxed one. Mine was mint boxed but if I had it now I doubt I'd flog it.
Sam.
