Sadly, the much admired (throughout S2) Merle Haggard has passed away today at the age of 79. Who can forget Oz's tribute to the man himself in series 2.
RIP Merle.

IIRC Kevork also had a non speaking role as a assassin after Bodie and Doyle in The Professionals Backtrack.

I've just sent a message on behalf of all on 4:3tv to Tim Healy who has been fighting for his life recently due to a mystery illness. He is stable and improving steadily at the moment.
Get well soon Tim.
Gene.

I've been watching Series 2 after a break of a few years. Despite thinking I've seen it all I've noticed a few things I hadn't before. In Return of the Seven part 1 both Brenda's nurse colleague and the pub landlord have Nottingham/East Midlands accents rather than Geordie and Black Country ones. In Another Country Wayne mouths a silent explitive to Arthur Pringle in the Barley Mow and in Another Country when the lads are playing football in the car park of The Barley Mow there's a fair bit of rain water on the camera lense's - maybe let through due to filming and time contraints. Funny the new things you notice when watching something after a fair while and... the opening minute of Series 2 is lightyears better than anything they did in the 2002-04 BBC made series.
