Very sad to hear this news.
A genuinely nice fellow.

RIP Aitch.
He took the trouble to get involved in several internet forums & by the looks of it he had no airs or graces, attending the meet with you all & being personally involved in the 'Thieves And Weirdos' film. To quote a Sweeney episode title he was one of your own. With 279 imdb credits he was arguably the most recognisable extra British tv & film produced.

This is such sad news indeed. Such a larger than life character indeed. As said earlier the only star of the show who attended a meet and was there all day
RIP Harry ❤️

Absolutely taken aback by this sad news.
It was a pleasure and privilege to have met and spent some time with Aitch both on the meets and elsewhere and as Gene has said he was one of the most down to earth and genuine guys you could meet. Aitch has been in so much we've liked over the years and there's always popping up on the box which he's in whether in the background or with a odd line here or there.
I take great pride in meeting and having a few good chat's with you Aitch and I'll definitely have a Guinness as a tribute to you, maybe while watching something you've been in too.
RIP Harry 'Aitch' Fielder a true legend of British film and TV!

Comments so far show just how well regarded Harry Fielder was.
A few thoughts:
- as Arthur pointed out his IMDB entry of 279 entries over >45 years is highly impressive; the sheer range of iconic films and TV shows he appeared in is remarkable
- recall at the Meet in 2010 how he joined for the whole day [superbly organised by Gene] and enjoyed so much sharing his numerous experiences; my personal memory was Harry explaining how he was frequently called upon to be the stand-in for Tony Curtis during Persuaders rehearsals - just wonder how many other stars he did this for?
- his wish for a pint at The Horns, Watford - a well-known, long-established music pub ties in with his IMDB entry 'lead singer and guitarist for different rock bands that performed in various bars and pubs'. Given the number of gigs held at The Horns each week, probably a decent chance he played there
Finally, it's nice to have shaken hands with someone who appeared in The Sweeney, Minder, The Professionals, Fox, On The Buses, Steptoe, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Two Ronnies, The Saint and The Likely Lads - to name but just a few!
RIP Aitch

I really am sorry to hear about Harry's passing. We corresponded a few times on Facebook when I was writing my books on Albert Finney, Ian Hendry and Nicol Williamson. He always tried to be helpful and seemed like a great fellow. I also enjoyed reading his autobiography. I know from his Facebook posts that he missed his late wife greatly and so I really hope they are reunited. RIP Aitch.

A few have mentioned memories of meeting Aitch at the Meet on 10th October 2010. Here is a little reminder of that great day.

Thanks for posting that photograph Gene. That was indeed a memorable day. Aitch was the very definition of a great bloke. It was a pleasure to have met him. Thank you for making that happen.
