Not quite YouTube but here's the BBC Open Space documentary Bad Meaning Good featuring Tim Westwood. May not be everyone's thing here but covers an interesting era from my youth. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p048j32k

Nice one Dirty, I remember watching this when it was first shown, I think I must've taped it as I have a good memory of it. Must've been the first time I saw Tim Westwood, a foolish figure to many but he was instrumental in the promotion of rap music. I'll enjoy watching it again.
Rap was a new thing to me then, my brother had Public Enemy's 'Yo Bum Rush The Show' & I'd not heard anything like it. The Beastie Boys & RUM DMC were touring the UK & appeared on kids tv, RUN DMC were on 'Get Fresh' with Gaz Top & that green snotty puppet voiced by Phil Cornwell, I remember them arriving in a helicopter & the Beastie Boys were on Network 7. There was much made of the Beastie Boys in the tabloids & VW cars were seen up & down the land without their badges.

Yeah it's an interesting find Art and was arguably from the most creative period of Hip Hop before the Gangsta/R&B crap messed it up badly IMHO. As for Westwood interesting he's not that much different to the lambasted personality he his today but as said before Rap/Hip Hop's best days were from this 1983-89 period then lost its way after that.

Found out about this one off BBC 2 Drama from the mid 1990's 'Loved Up' and seems a fairly decent copy of it is on YouTube. May give this a watch this week as it has a back story of the rave/club scene in London around that period. It did get a VHS release around that time but no DVD has been released for it - given the passing of time and how one off drama's from that period go down reckon it's unlikely to get one. Might be a pile of tosh but hopefully a good little find as I like the music from that scene/period... oh yeah never knew that our very own Gene was once a 90's Ponytailed Raver in a past life... check out 45min 50 seconds.
