Here's a cool 70's advert from Australia's Holden. Mind you shame no Holden's are made in Aus anymore... That advert was iconic here. I'm sure if you said "Football, meat pies" to an Aussies over 40 yrs old they would all respond "Kangaroos and Holden cars!" The last Aussie built Holdens are now being sold. They have been in the news this week with the last 300 Holden Special Vehicle V8 models selling on preorder for over AUD$170,000- each !

Having inspected the clip a number of times, she appears to be tricking us with flesh coloured underthings. Well of course she has a skin coloured bodysuit under the dress. Otherwise she has the weirdest shaped bottom. Gosh car shows have changed since 1971 ! The last car show I went too with naked girls in attendance was 1989 at the NEC, totally starkers they were, draped over a TVR! The 'halo' of middle aged gentlemen of the press surrounding the car with cameras was plainly obvious. And no, I didn't get any photos... Villain

Great clips!! Thanks for putting them up Villain and DE! Not seen them before, the more recent car motorshows I went to in the 90's and early noughties were considerably toned down, the girls on the car makers stands were all in business suits!! (Although there were a few leggier ones on the accessories stands.......... but still mostly covered up. )
Liked those old 70's motor show clips!

Who knows the story behind 10cc's name? Not romantic at all! {Spoiler Alert - Click Here To Reveal} "A widely repeated claim, disputed by King and Godley, but confirmed in a 1988 interview by Creme, and also on the webpage of Gouldman's current line-up, is that the band name represented a volume of semen that was more than the average amount ejaculated by men"

By weird coincidence I just turned on The One Show ( a daily magazine show on BBC1 ) & not only are 10cc performing "I'm Not In Love" live but the studio guest is Australian Adam Hills!
