The cast of AWP get together annually for a "Sunday For Sammy" benefit gig. Sammy being Sammy Johnson who played Martin Cooper in AWP and Stick in Spender. He died aged 49 whilst jogging in Spain where he lived. There are many "Sunday For Sammy" clips on YT featuring the Geordie Mafia. Thanks for posting Charles

Yes I've read up on 'Sunday for Sammy' Steve. I meant to add earlier that the last one was in January and all of the A.W. P. cast still living were there, except Timothy Spall. Perhaps Timothy had health issues, or work commitments that prevented his attending. Terrific place Newcastle though. Great memories of the first meet we had there. When was it about four years ago? Its scary how the time's flown over since then.
Charles.

I prefer his voice to Joe Fagin. Tim could've sung the opening titles & Gary Holton's singing style would've suited 'That's Living Alright' perfectly.

Are there any fans of the original Star Trek TV series on the forum? I think there were about three series made in the late sixties before the show was cancelled. I noticed this video of William Shatner defending himself against actor George Takei who played mr. Sulu in the series. Takei seems to have made it his life's work to continually have a go at Shatner. Shatner seems really p***ed off with the guy now, going by this video.

I saw the BBC2 repeats some years back - and quite enjoyed the early series. I didn't think much to the later ones though.
Great video BTW!

I agree with you there Sparky. I liked the originals but never fancied the sequels even though Patrick Stewart gave a good performance as Jean Luc Picard in his sequel.

Yes I'm a fan having watched repeats of the 60s show in the 80s. Never bothered with any of the other versions though.

Bellman And True (1987) Gene. Surprised it's that late. Thought it might be around the early 80s judging by the R plate Jag looking a bit worn and a couple of year old.
