Where to start? I have always loved TV and I watched it a lot when I was younger. I think my earliest recollection of TV was "Mary, Mungo & Midge" but the list below is just a small snapshot of what I can remember watching. Considering there were only 3 TV channels, this list is quite impressive. Mr Benn The Clangers Animal Kwackers Magpie Worzel Gummidge Metal Mickey Supergran Play School Play Away Rainbow Stepping Stones Trumpton Camberwick Green Chigley Cheggars Plays Pop Hold Tight! Swap Shop Tiswas Record Breakers Bod The Hair Bear Bunch Inch High Private Eye Hong Kong Phooey Yogi Bear Inspector Gadget The New Schmoo Mr Rossi Dogtanion & The Three Musketeers Around The World In 80 Days Heidi The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn Jackanory Blue Peter Crackerjack Jigsaw Vision On Take Hart Bagpuss Picture Box Screen Test Willo The Wisp The Perishers The Wombles Roobard & Custard Grange Hill Dear Heart Paddington Warner Bros cartoons such as Bugs Bunny, Tweetie Pie & Sylvester, Wile Coyote & Roadrunner, Daffy Duck. Jamie & The Magic Torch Chorlton & The Wheelies Think Of A Number Why Don't You G Force Well, that's do for a start. How many of these do my fellow forum members remember? "You're watching far too much television young man. Your mother and I want to see you reading a lot more books. You can start with Swallows and Amazons and some Famous Five!"

Dear Heart & Stepping Stones I can't place but all the others I remember Steve. There doesn't seem to be anything on tv for older kids today.

My kids used to really like Tracey Beaker about 7 or 8 years ago, that had some older themes in it. Horrible Histories was really quite funny at about the same time.

Dear Heart & Stepping Stones I can't place but all the others I remember Steve. There doesn't seem to be anything on tv for older kids today. "Dear Heart" was an early 80s tv show that featured Toyah and "Stepping Stones" was one of those programmes shown on ITV around lunchtime after "Rainbow".
