Yes, they were great, Reidy sending the bleep machine into overdrive! They got relegated that season, they certainly give TV companies plenty of drama. I can live without it, what I wouldn't give for mid table mediocrity

After my previous post I've had a bit more of a think about the motorsport documentaries so here are a few more to whet your appetite. Love The Beast: Eric Bana on the restoration and racing of his Ford Falcon The whole documentary is on youtube but be advised that there is some strong language: Williams (2017) Available to view on Netflix Too Fast To Race - The Full Story of the 'Group B' Racing & Rally Sports Cars I can almost smell the exhaust fumes now. Sam.

I'll have to give a few of these a watch.
Eric Bana's The Beast looks very good/tempting!

I've remembered about this QED documentary about Benetton F1 preparing for the 1996 with Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger replacing Schumi. Some good insights with Ross Brawn and many of the other Benetton people too.

Good year that was Dirty, I remember it well. That was the year that our son really got into the F1 with me and we bought him a go-kart for his sixth birthday. It was a full-size kart with a 200cc Honda engine and I adapted the kart with a second set of foot pedals to fit him so that either of us could drive it. My mother also made him a set of overalls in the Rothmans Williams colours at the time (as his name is William). He still has the kart to this day although the second set of pedals are now gone.

Nice one Sam.
Fittingly Williams/Damon Hill won the WDC/WCC in 1996 too.

A couple of really good football documentaries I think people on here would enjoy are,
I Believe In Miracles
This is the story of Nottingham Forest's rise under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor to becoming European Champions in 1979 and 1980. The soundtrack is 70s soul and funk. Hugely entertaining!
Team of the 80s
This the story of Crystal Palace's exciting young team at the end of the 1970s who were dubbed "the team of the 80s". They weren't. Obviously. But the story involves a Triumph Stag, a porn star, Malcolm Alison and Terry Venables. It's narrated by Bill Nighy too.
You don't have to be a fan of either club to enjoy these documentaries.

Looking forward to seeing Team of the 80s. Venables and Allison are two big characters and it will be good to see the dissection of their time at Crystal Palace. Interestingly it overlaps the Forest story in terms of timeline, late 70s early 80s. A great time for the English game.
