Just recently watched two random films on the talking pictures channel. Both films were from the silver screen era’ but given the fact they’re old I thought they were great, and realised they both had the actor Paul Carpenter in, The hypnotist (1957) And Jet storm (1959) never heard of him until now! Was a shame unfortunately he died relatively young at the age of 42 in 1964, in his dressing room, he’d done quite a few films, and apparently had just recovered from injuries sustained in a car crash, maybe this contributed to his death. Anybody else familiar with him or his movies! ?

Yes I'm familiar with Paul Carpenter. He was one of many US or Canadian actors who stayed on here after the war. I've seen him in quite a few films over the years, mainly 'B' films. Apparently he also did TV work too. Last time I looked some of Pauls films were available on YouTube.
He had a very relaxed likeable manner. I was reading about him again only a few weeks ago. He died in his dressing room as you said, after feeling unwell. It must surely have had something to do with his recent car crash. Several years previously a good friend of his another American actor based in Britain also died of car crash injuries after appearing in a play in Liverpool. His name was Bonar Colleano. One of my favourite American actors who appeared in many British 'B' films was John Ireland, (He played one of the slaves in Spartacus.)

Yes Three Litre, he did do a lot of stuff on both sides of the Atlantic, one of John's early ones was a John Wayne film called Red River.
I always enjoy watching John Ireland in films. He was good in the British film 'The Good Die Young.' with Stanley Baker and Laurence Harvey in the mid 50s
