There is a third one soon, the Moderna one. After that there is a fourth, however that is from Johnson and Johnson. So it's probably delivered via an Ingram machine gun for fast dispensing. As long as it isn't made by Johnson & Hancock

My son had the Oxford jab yesterday as he is working in healthcare prior to going to university later, he has a touch of the after effects but nothing serious.

My parents (aged 86 and 87) had their first jabs on Thursday and both felt okay afterwards. Dad had a bit of an ache to his arm but that was it thankfully. Mind you, if my mother did have any sort of ache she's the sort of person that would shrug it off and say nothing. Although I'd booked up for them to have their jabs done at Epsom racecourse (about 25 miles from them) they had a phone call to say that they could rebook for another health centre just a mile away. So it seems that the rollout is gathering pace and thankfully not too many people having the side effects like Arthur's poor mother. Best wishes to your mother Arthur, I hope she's doing okay now. Sam.

It's a relief for those far away from the UK watching the news to see and hear that vaccinations have started in the UK. Very glad to hear that many forum members' parents have received the vaccine and hope they have recovered from any side effects.
Everyone wants the terrible times to end in the UK and everywhere. On Australian news UK, USA and others progress are reported. Your early progress with the vaccine and country wide program of vaccination will hopefully make a big change soon.

The vaccines are the only good news really, even though the cases are now dropping the talk in the government is for lockdown until god knows when. Whilst I can understand why they can't give date they could and should publicise what is needed to reduce the lockdown in terms of cases, hospitalisations etc.

It's good to read, members parents and relatives are receiving the jab, and my best wishes for their protection to them all. Not got an exact date for my Mother yet, but she is waiting, and she's been given a location of where the jab will take place, so on standby at the mo to run her there when she calls.
Hope everyone is coping OK at the moment, but the uncertainty with lock down length isn't helping, but hoping the vaccination roll out will make a huge difference and this progresses well.

Parents, they expect you to spend all your free time running around after them! I mean, what have parents ever done for us?

James Warrior had the Pfizer vaccine today. All good despite the 90 minute queue. Oddly enough, he had it done at the old Central TV building in Lenton Lane, Notts.
Gene.
