Before the race in Tuscany starts I'd like to celebrate Gasly's win last week at Monza.
This podium was the biggest surprise ever. You'd never have bet on it !
I'm not a Pierre Gasly fan at all but I do like seeing the underdog win.
F1 is such a vicious industry, with drivers being dropped and replaced in the blink of an eye. Drivers rarely get second chances.
Gasly's demotion from Red Bull to Toro Rosso last year was sudden and harsh.
It seemed even more so when the 'Drive to Survive' documentary showed the marketing department pasting his replacement's photo, Alex Albon over the top of Gasly's promotional picture.
Well done Gasly. Enjoy the win.
Yes it is true that all the 'top' drivers were eliminated or penalised BUT any of the other drivers could have won it.
