I feel this was one of the best events of this type that i've been too. Fantastic. The only negative was the fact that people had to pay for any autographs. Something that never happened when I've had guests at 43tv Meets Gene.

Yes Gene , at the multi guest paid events like the ones we've been too at certain studios, I gather its a normal thing to charge for signing. The Elstree ITC one last time out was the same. Our Sweeney meets over the years were something money couldn't buy. A whole day of sweeney fun and we have been spoilt with guests over the years. The two formats are non comparable really and I feel I've been fortunate to attend them for 10 years.

I would have liked to attend this. I wonder if Dawn and Norman remember working together on "Out", if I remember correctly they shared a scene where Brian Croucher was beaten up by Norman. Glad that so many of the squad were in attendance Out was mentioned i seem to recall. Hopefully the clips will pick it up Steve. They are mooting another event at the end of the year. Sweeney 3 That's good to know Del, I was there for the first reunion and so if there is another I will hopefully be there.

I was going to mention that Gene, I guess you don't have to get them but you're there and so you're going to want them and so will pay which is annoying.

As far as I know, none of our group shelled out. I certainly didnt. We did get a few contact details though - free of charge Gene.

WoW ! Looking at the pics posted by Gene Hunt, this looks to have been an amazing array of Sweeney stars. Cheers fro posting.
Gosh George Layton, Diane Keen (always a great actor), Robert Hargreaves (loved Taste of Fear) . I still haven't recovered from George Layton's Aussie accent.

Thanks for posting the smudges @gene - a shame I wasn't able to get a ticket for this, will keep an eye out for another event.
Out of interest what was was the format of the event, was any clip footage shared or was it a general Q&A with a compare of the actors reminiscing of the good old days?

Thanks for posting up the pics Gene, looks like it was a good event.
I wouldn’t have minded going myself but Annie and I disappeared off to Hyde for the weekend.
Sam.

The two formats are non comparable really and I feel I've been fortunate to attend them for 10 years. My youngest son likes to go to the "Comic Cons" they hold everywhere these days - mainly they are Sci-Fi based and also have various stars Past & Present attending for talks & meets.
They not only charge for entrance, but for an autograph and then a seperate photo (even if you want a photo on your phone).
Sadly, seeing this success, a few others seem to be jumping on the bandwagon and setting up their own events - badly. And a few of the Celebs they book are getting screwed over with fees and all that - so now they are getting reluctant to appear at the more legit events.
