Quite an impressive DIY snow machine.
A mate worked on this as an Apprentice (he's still working now) and was responsible for lighting the maze plus a few other bits.
The blood used in one sequence was actually Cow/Pig blood brought in each day in large tanks - supplied from an Abbotoir.
And it stunk.
Kubrik evidently does his rewrites as he goes - with is portable typewriter.
In this you see the first Steadycam used in the UK too.
