I see a lot of Range Rovers about in the small town where I live. I'd put military watches in the same category of style over function, what town dweller needs a vehicle designed for rough terrain & what man needs a big arse watch with functions on it he'd never use?
I think this is why beards have become so popular, it's an outward display of masculinity in a World that has become more feminised & less manly.

You're probably right there Arthur. As for the tick tocks, I've got a pal who shelled out £500 quid for a divers watch a couple of years ago. Ok, so is a watch really worth 500 notes? No. Not when the silly sod can't even swim.
It beggars belief.
Gene.

You're not wrong there Arthur, half the people that I worked alongside in the 30 - 40 age range that had beards were the biggest wet lettuces going. But then as the saying goes: the thickest grass grows on the softest sods. Sam.

I spend hours each day in front of a PC with the clock displayed in the bottom right corner of each screen, and if I'm not in front of the PC I have my mobile with me. If we're going out for an occasion and getting togged up then the gold watch or a pocket watch is worn but they are classically styled watches and not the unnecessarily oversized watches worn by the fashion victims. Sam.

I did buy a big watch years ago, not an expensive one, but it didn't look right on my small 6.5" wrist.

The declining numbers of rapes being prosecuted.
Get it sorted out CPS and stop making excuses.
There is something seriously amiss and the casualties are the (mostly) women.

I wear a £30 quid digital one as I'm always scratching them up. I only really have it as its useful at work but being a cheapy you tend not to care about it if you break or lose it. I do find the step counter on it an interesting feature. That will probably annoy others

I can assure you I look very masculine, sat here in a long flowing dress and matching head band.
