I can assure you I look very masculine, sat here in a long flowing dress and matching head band. Thankyou for not providing pictorial proof, Essex Gene. I tried but my phone just wouldn't record the picture, which was odd.

I see a lot of Range Rovers about in the small town where I live. I'd put military watches in the same category of style over function, what town dweller needs a vehicle designed for rough terrain & what man needs a big arse watch with functions on it he'd never use?
I think this is why beards have become so popular, it's an outward display of masculinity in a World that has become more feminised & less manly.
I’ve come to the conclusion over the years! that less is more! In regards possessions etc, although I do appreciate quality! But in respect of cars! I’d probably prefer a classic! And prefer simplicity.. same goes for these beards! Ya see these days! I mean who wants to look like a cave man! Lol! And besides, personally, I’d look like my head was upside down

Not everyone suits a beard, I have a brother whose beard does him no favours at all. My face starts to itch when I've not shaved for a week.

Watching the clip of Dexy's Midnight Runners Kevin Rowland on the cover versions thread made me think of men who dress as women or wear make up. Not talking about pantomime dames or Dick Emery or even transvestites but people like Grayson Perry & Eddie Izzard & before that the New Romantics & Glam Rockers. Not only do I not understand what drives a man to wear nail varnish, there's something both disturbing & misogynistic about it & do men ever not look ridiculous in heavy make up? I like The Sweet but looking back at that whole 70's period & the Duran Duran period in the 80's, what was it all about

I agree, but these days you can get abuse for expressing such views. It's become "not acceptable" for finding some peoples choices very odd even if that's all your doing and not discriminating against them. It some ways we are going backwards with personal freedom. All this cancel culture is about that, it's shutting down debate by mass action.

It's like men waxing their eyebrows, it just looks odd on a man, much like conspicuously bushy eyebrows look strange on a woman, this is a genuine model-

I've told my missus a million times to stop modelling. It's just embarrassing.
