This years Goodwood Revival event will be held on the weekend of 11 to the 13th of September 2015. Although I've not been to this event I do intend to go at some point in the future. I have been told its very well organised like its sister event the festival of speed. Goodwood Revival

I've only been to the Festival Of Speed, which was phenomenally good. Indy cars from the 1980's and old NASCAR cars from the 70's, especially transported across from the USA just for this event. Things you would never ever have expected to see, and they're all powered up and racing up a hill. Best day out I've ever had (and the hospitality courtesy of a diesel engine manufacturer helped)

I've been a few years back to the festival of speed and I also thought it was a great event. Saint said he liked it too. I don't think i've met anyone who didn't like the event so I really must get myself down to the Goodwood Revival .

The Revival is a good event, I've been there three times. If you have membership to Goodwood you can walk through the paddock but other mere mortals can still stroll around the outside and spot all sorts of stars and celebs.
The second time I went I met Barry Sheene and his missus Stephanie in their tent alongside his bikes, and watched him win his final race there. He was no longer with us the following year and the bike race was named after him.
The racing is fantastic though, multi-million pound cars being thrashed around the track, and suffering 'racing incidents', demonstrates that racing drivers will race whatever they're driving. One original GT40 was trailered back to the pits in a very sorry state.
The track is a good size and each time I've gone I've walked around the circuit completely. And one place you've got to see if you go is the chicane, the 'wall' is now polystyrene but still gets hit from time to time.
Sam.
