I remember him from an early 70s ITV adaptation of Billy Liar. A good character actor.

Only just found out about George's passing. He was in so many things during his long career, it's hard to count them up. He seemed to go on forever. I was surprised to read in Harry Corbett's biography a few years ago that he had been in the Joan Littlewood theatre group along with Harry for several years.
A great character actor.
RIP George.

RIP George. A well known actor on screen. His Steptoe And Son performance as executor of the will at Albert's brother's funeral sticks in the mind.
