Recently watched this documentary on utube, of day to day life in St Anne’s Nottingham.. makes you realise how times regarding poverty! have changed but is still relative to what decade or time we live in. The narrator is Ray Gosling, who’s quite quirky! Seemed to like a drink at one time, and quotes on Wikipedia, in those days I drunk 10 pints a night, they were 50 pubs in my St Anne’s. I’d have a drink in every one of them 😆
Guess there’s something quite highly addictive about programs to do with social change.. I’m currently watching all the 7up series and on 49 up at the moment. It’s just great how it concentrates on a particular character person’ and will jump back in their life on film, as it’s been filmed, every 7 years for the past 50. Makes you realise how quick time goes and as gone by!? And makes you question things! Have I got what I want in life ? Where am I going ? What do I wanna do next!? But there’s one question which will always remain and that is, it’s a shame we have to grow old!
