Productive day for me, watched Minder episodes "Around The Corner", "Minder On The Orient Express", "Long Ride Back To Scratchwood" & Car Lot Baggers" and "Nightmare" from The Sweeney. "I Want The Man" is tee'd up and ready to go. Watched "Robbery" last weekend. Just "Sweeney 2" & "Loving Arms" to go I don't have either of the Steptoe films or Quadrophenia so the above will have to do, Roll on next Sunday, no rain forecast so far

I'd invest in the Steptoe films and Quadrophenia Steve even if not before the Meet. The Steptoe films have some marvelous location scenes of the area we will be covering next weekend. Good work on the other stuff you've swatted up on though I've just watched Robbery again and picked up on yet more details of interest that I will be pointing out next weekend. I've also updated the background of this Meet page so it now shows a BluRay still rather than the old poor quality film still. Gene.

Little bit of trivia, Martin Stellman (one of the writers of Quadrophenia) is my late step fathers cousin. I've only ever met him once, many years ago. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of this film but will try to watch once I get around to getting a copy. Will definitely get the Steptoe films though

Every single time! All made for good fun, though. Cheers, Stan

So you need to watch the first film to see where Harold & Zita get married, and the second film to see where Harold sees Diana Dors. There is also a scene where Albert and Harold are on the horse & cart trying to think of a name for a baby. We will pass this street on Sunday.
