Kevin Whately in the first of his 3 appearances in 'Angels' from 1980. His character is closer to Oz than Neville & by strange coincidence there's a bad tempered older man in the bed next to him who is reminiscent of Hedley. Has to be said that Whately's performance is a bit awkward, miscast as a geordie lothario.

Spotted Brigitte Kahn ( Dagmar ) on the right as a prostitute in an episode of the first series of 'The Gentle Touch' called 'Melody' from 1980. Catherine Schell from 'Big Spender' ( in which she also played a prostitute ) is standing on the left.

Gary Holton in 'The Gentle Touch' from 1981. In 'Scapegoat' by Roger Marshall he plays an unlikely Nazi wrongly assumed to have vandalised the home of a Jewish couple played by Harry Towb & Gillian Raine from 'Messenger Of The Gods'. Marshall appears to have lifted this story from an episode of 'Z Cars' from 1973 called 'Pieces'. In 'Pieces' a disturbed man, portrayed as a Christian zealot, deliberately vandalises his own home in order to make a point about moral decline in society. In 'Scapegoat' Harry Towb's character, concerned about the lack of action regarding acts of anti Jewish violence in his area, deliberately daubs the walls of his home with swastikas. Gary Holton may be wearing the same pair of jeans in Auf W Pet as you can see a patch on the backside that seems to match.

Doing a bit of channel hopping and just saw Chris Fairbank in The Secret Agent a BBC period mini series from 2016 on the London Live channel just now. Nice to see a face pop up in something unexpected.

I usually never ever watch anything on the BBC these days, but I recently watched a mini series 'The Sixth Commandment' starring among others Timothy Spall after seeing it mentioned online.
It was the true life story of a killer who targeted elderly people I found it to be a very good production.
I think it will still be on the iplayer. I found some parts of the first episode slightly nauseating, but Timothy plays his part well as usual.
Charles.
