The vertically stacked headlights were a mid 60s styling fad on American Fords, the 65-67 cars had them, and Plymouth copied the idea on the 65-68 Furys. Chevvy didn't bother, all their 60s cars had the lights in the conventional horizontal position There were Pontiac models that had stacked headlamps and Cadillacs, so GM joined in too; Around the same years, yes there was quite a fad for them then.
Also today down the same road as the cars I saw previously, passing me was a Bentley T1 saloon on a 68/69 G plate in a metallic beige; The type like the grey one used in 2 Sweeney episodes that had the RR Silver Shadow body.

A couple yesterday, a Riley Elf, the Mini variant which had a small boot, nice nick, but what looked like a non original colour, it was yellow, and a P6 Rover, in that smart dark brown colour

Do 2CVs count? I saw a red and white one earlier today. They're not my bag at all, in fact, French cars of any kind aren't, but they do seem to be about the only old French car you do occasionally see.

That police P6 is superb. I like them in police car livery, very Sweeney!

Some great pics there Saint - I like the Perana V8 Granada MK1 and the MK2 estate Rally service barge, and the Colt Sapporo is a rare car now - quiet De Lorean looking at the front. Some nice P6's too as ever.

One today, an H regd 69/70 Volvo 145 estate, in great condition, at the garage in Hale Barns who does do quite a bit of classic work

And another one, a Standard Ensign, one of the final ones from the early 60s. Looked great, two tone, grey and cream

A treat today, a superb, white Mark 2 Jag 3.8, on Altrincham Road in Baguley.
