Great photos Saint and thank you! I've seen the documentary Triumph Stag, the Dream Car on Youtube as stated on the piece of paper in the windscreen of the pre production Stag; Quite recommended as a great period piece although this was before the reliabillity problems (at the time) the cars had, had reared their ugly head. The same car has also been made as a Vanguards model car.
Other press fleet Stags that have survived as well as the "Diamonds are Forever" Stag (which I believe went to a collector in the USA) include a Damson coloured car RVC431H and the white brochure picture car RRW97H, the original photos of which were used nearly every year in Stag brochures with just the pictures being carefully altered so the registration was annually updated with the current suffix letter and then gradually the new features like trim details and stripes etc added!
Thanks for the information on the Vanguards model DC Burtonshaw, I just purchased one from eBay 👍 The Saint

Great pics Villain, as well as your Maserati, that's a great mix of British and American classics there!

I spotted a rare one today, one I haven't seen for many years. Not my cup of Tetley as classic cars go but probably very rare nowadays, it was a sky blue Citroen Ami estate.
I recall seeing them about quite a bit in the 70s and I must admit that I'd forgotten that they even existed so to see one drive past caught me unawares not giving me time to get a smudge.
I wonder how many roadworthy examples still exist?
Sam.

Can't remember the last time I saw one of those, same with the Dyane too, but you do see the occasional 2CV, which both cars were derived from. French cars, in general, aren't my bag at all, I didn't much like them in the 70s, and still don't.

Another spot today albeit sat on a trailer and towed past the house: a two-door mk1 Cortina in metallic green and shod with the stereotypical Minilites. Quite unusual to see a two-door but at least I managed to capture the smudge from zooming in and cropping our CCTV: https://www.instagram.com/p/C2IYv4zKHOs Sam.

Saw one of my favourite cars today, on Barlow Moor Road in Manchester, a Ford Consul Classic, blue with a white top, it looked in great nick. They were only made for two years, 1961-3. The early ones had 1340cc, later increased to the same 1500cc engine as in the mark 1 Cortina. You did used to still see the odd one running around in the 70s when I was learning to drive, and I decided then that I liked them

On the way back from work yesterday I saw a rather tidy looking second generation Chevy Camaro on the M42, in mid metallic blue with 'Rally' wheels and redline tyres, it looked very sw***y in amongst the dull grey modern porridge we usually see. Villain

At a garage in Wilmslow I deliver to today was an R registration, 1976/7 Ferrari, I don't know what model, as I know pretty much sod all about Italian sports cars. It wasn't very big, and didn't have any spoilers or whatever, it had a slight look of the Lotus which converted into a submarine in The spy who loved me. Villain will probably know what it was.

A 308GT4 maybe? I used to see these all the time where I used to live in Thorpe as Maranello's had their workshops just around the corner from us. Sam.
