I remember so many of these already mentioned, bring back memories and watching some of these as a boy.
I remember Winner takes all, Bullseye and 321 and enjoyed Screen Test. And yes Finder Keepers with Richard Stillgoe, I believe he "wrote the theme tune" too!
Give us a clue could be good too with the different celebs at the time (a jolly sight more classy than todays!!). Telly Addicts with Noel Tidybeard was quite good for the TV show clips.
Big Break was also good with Jim Davidson cracking jokes and comments every minute it seemed!
Not yet mentioned is Blankety Blank. Was better of course with Terry Wogan and I remember a little known game show called "Punch Lines" with presenter stand up comic Lenny Bennett (wonder what happened to him?).
Family Fortunes anyone?? I remember the original series with Bob Monkhouse. ("Our survey said"???) And the big crosses that appeared when an answer was wrong; Made an "Egg-orgg!" noise!
And Catchphrase anyone?? The original was hosted by Irish comic Roy Walker.
Anyone remember "Masterteam"? Ran from Autumn 1985 to Autumn '87 and presented by Angela Ripon, panel game show of general knowledge and a sort of "University challenge for down to earth pub goers"! Was on early evening news weekdays after Childrens BBC and before the 6 o clock news.

I used to enjoy watching Mike Read's Pop Quiz on a Saturday night back in the 80's and Shooting Stars in the 90's hosted by Vic & Bob, Oovavu

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that one - which reminds me of another funny clip. I used to work alongside the bloke that appeared in this clip and he was real gentle giant but with a great sense of humour as can be seen here: Sam.

One of the great tv moments of all time. Another clip to look at if you haven't seen it is the Family Fortunes 'turkey' episode, not checked on yt to see if it's still there but if it is, watch it as the whole episode contains some bizarre moments.
Re Bullseye- you may know that one of the contestants was in fact a convicted murderer/r**ist who had commited the crimes both before & after his appearance. The episode was used as evidence in the case & has never been shown on tv since. There was a documentary about it called 'The Game Show Killer'.
To continue on the grim note, does anyone remember seeing the fatal bungee jump on 'The Late Late Breakfast Show'? I don't remember watching it but I do recall the controversy.

I remember the bungee jump Arthur, back in 1986. Didn't Noel Edmonds resign over it and the show scrapped? The chap was called Michael Lush if memory serves... On a lighter note - yes, I remember the "Turkey" episode well. Hilarious! Gene.

Yes, chilling stuff watching John Cooper talk to Jim Bowen about doing scuba diving or something similar on a 1989 edition of Bullseye, just a month before a couple from Oxfordshire were murdered on a footpath in Pembrokeshire. He was eventually convicted of their murder in 2011.

I liked the old ones best such as Sale Of The Century, the Michal Barrymore, and the Bruce Forsythe shows.
Bullseye was great, the contestants were really down to earth, and there were absolutely no airs and graces with Jim Bowen. I'm not to keen on the game shows of today though (Except maybe Tipping Point.) They are on too much for a start. I get sick of them. The wife likes to have the tea time ones on every night. I don't object because I watch my stuff later on at night.

Of the shows mentioned Bullseye, Blankety Blank, Winner Takes It All, 321 and Pop Quiz were favs in our household over the years. Strike It Lucky with Michael Barrymore was good when it first came out, probably went on too long though that one. The major hit I tired of quickly was the yawn fest that is Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. At the moment I watch Pointless as its good to play along. The Chase is a good format but I swear they fiddle it to limit the amount of winners

My all time favourite Game Show was 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? ' Chris Tarrant did a terrific job on that show in my opinion. I think the last couple of years it lost its way though, when they changed the setup. Such as the time limit on questions etc. Towards the end it seemed to be celebrities in the chair all the time, instead of the public. They had them on far too much.
I think that if they hadn't messed around with the original formula then they might have kept more viewers. Maybe I'm wrong though? perhaps it had had its day. I miss it though.
One thing about today's Game Shows is that they're not much fun, or at least the ones I've seen. (Unless you like Bradley Walsh's "Jokes") They don't seem to have much glamour either. I used to like the regular girls on things like Sale Of The Century. Perhaps they're too tight to pay for them now, or more likely it's for P.C. reasons.
Charles.

Evening
My favourites
321 Winner takes it all Family fortunes Blankety blank Play your cards right Generation game
I think a reflection of growing up in the 70's when I watched these with my parents
I think game shows are best when watched with varied generations children, parents, grandparents. When you can laugh at each other's attempts or when someone claims they knew the answer.
