Well done Peter. Some great photos there. I especially liked the Lancaster Gate ones. Carry On Doctor is one of my favourites.

Just finished reading Liz Fraser's autobiograpy. (Liz of course was in some of the earlier Carry On films.) She said she left the series because she wanted to be taken a little more seriously as an actress, and get other parts.
Liz confirmed what some of the other Carry on actors have said about the producer being a bit stingy with their fees. She mentioned that Joan Sims was a bit short of cash towards the end of her life, and Liz who was trying to sort out Joan's finances took upon herself to appeal to Peter Rogers for a little help, but he said no.
I really enjoyed reading Liz's life story.

I'm sure Sid would have made similar comments about his Chopper too.
Bloody awful bikes to ride in my opinion and I don't know why they have such a cult following but where would we be with Sid James and all the innuendos that the Chopper has given us over the years?

I had a blue mk1 Chopper. I would say the attraction was they looked great, were good for a wheelie, had a saddle big enough to give a backie and had gears. The downside was they didn't handle very well at all. The Grifter and the BMX's that followed were far superior.

Never ridden one. There was a chopper gang who all had them and used to hang about at the Top of the Cross in Radcliffe at the time when they had come out at first. I do like the look of them but I don't think the gear shifter mounted on the frame was a good idea, you need to have the gears in the handlebars so you don't need to let go.

Would've sworn that was photoshopped but no, there's a few smudges of him on a Chopper. My brother had one & he went over the handlebars going down a hill.

I never liked the look of them, didn't and don't understand the attraction.
