Next Network sale, I will definately be getting a series called 'Scotland Yard' it's a fifties series currently being shown on the Talking Pictures channel.
I'm quite impressed with it. The picture quality is good, as are the stories. The guy who played the Colonel on Fawlty Towers has been in a few episodes playing a copper.
They were made at Merton Studios like a lot of other 50's B films. I've read a few times that John Thaw himself was in the last ever Merton Studios production, which I think was fimed in 1967. One good thing about it is seeing London in the 50's

Cheers lads. Even though it's a limited sale there are a few things on that list I'm interested in.
Charles.

Was tempted by Minder - The Complete Collection @£21 as it is £52.99 on Amazon However, if you are like me and only want the Dennis Waterman episodes, then the first 7 series (waterman episodes) is available on Amazon for £16.95 delivered. Gene.

I saw that but i thought Network were going to be doing a resto on this series adding their magic touch to it Professionals style. All that's happened is a repackage job which is disappointing.

I heard that too but am inclined to think it's as likely to happen as The Sweeney series 2 - 4 making it to BluRay.

Thanks for the heads up Saint. 'The Frighteners' is one of the titles on sale, I find this disappointing as it suggests it hasn't sold well. This is a series that hasn't seen the light of day since it was on originally & even then it was only shown in some regions. Personally I loved it, disturbing stories made in dirty looking 16mm colour really giving a flavour of the seedy 70's. Btw, the Minder boxset has been around for several years, it's not a Network release though it has been on the site for a few years I think, so hopefully that restored release they announced some time ago is still on the cards...in 2035 or something
