43tv Celebrates its 1000th Thread!

Just a little over 30 months old, I'm absolutely delighted to announce that we have just seen our 1000th thread posted up for discussion. Huge thanks to all of our contributing members. As you all know, high membership numbers count for nothing if 90% of those members don't post. 

You really have furnished the place with some fantastic information and photographs which have gone a long way to help make us a top resource for Retro discussions. It's marvellous that even though I'm on here regularly throughout each day, there is always something new to read every time.

As we also quickly approach a staggering 33,000 posts, all we can hope for is that long may it continue.

A great achievement and as you have pointed out Gene, it's a great resource with some very knowledgeable members.  I have seen some great films and heard some great tunes which were new to me as well as being educated and entertained which I wouldn't have been without this forum.  I've also met some great people and seen some fantastic locations previously confined only to my TV.  Only possible with 4:3TV

As you say Gene, no good having high membership numbers if 90% don't post/contribute. At least on here a very high percentage of members post regularly which makes the forum the great place that it is to visit.

I would like to echo what Gene has said: 1000 threads in two and a half years is a fantastic achievement that we have to thank all of our members for.

When Gene and I first discussed setting up the forum some years ago we would never have guessed that we'd have such a varied membership and the resulting range of threads that cover the topics that we have here on 4:3TV.

As Steve Austin has stated, the threads have presented so many of us to both TV and Films that have been bypassed over the years, long-forgotten music, and all manner of classic motoring all bought together on our forum.

I'd like to express my thanks to all members that have made our forum the success that we have today.
