Hope these will be of interest. A complete open and a complete close as originally shown in the USA. A bit different than was shown in the UK to allow for the sponsors tags etc. Robin Hood was sponsored on CBS by Johnson & Johnson products and Wildroot Hair Tonic.

Thanks for posting Stuart I thought the intrusive advertising we regularly see nowadays in opening and end credits was bad enough but looks like the septics have had to suffer it for over sixty years now! Sam.

They certainly are of interest Stuart. Its great to see tv from this era. Quite often in the 80s school holidays you could find B&W stuff like this on BBC2. Its certainly not the case these days. They invented all that hard sell advertising Sam I couldn't believe the amount of adverts shown at an American Football game I attended. Every time the ball went out of play they were trying to flog you a Ford Pickup truck or come for a meal at Hooters and we'll give you a discount

I have the first three series of Robin Hood. I will have to pick up the fourth sometime. I think it's gone a bit more expensive now though. I understand Robin Hood was a very successful series at the time, and they tried similar series such as William Tell and others but they didn't achieve the success of Robin Hood.
Charles.
