I noticed in the clip that the "group" were all bearing branded clothing - and with it being youtube, it's all about the clicks & views. Why can't these people just leave it to the police - and find themselves a job. It's probably only a matter of time too before they mess up a court case and someone who should be convicted gets off because of the meddling. Something similar that annoys me is the so called "auditors" on YouTube who stand filming outside police stations, military bases, security establishments etc just to provoke a reaction. "I don't have to tell you my name or why I'm filming" etc knowing that if they don't get challenged then they haven't got any content to upload.

I had a similar experience recently. I woke in the morning and was scored 61% by the wife. The cheek of the woman! Or leg I suppose.

She's been mentioned on here before, but Greta bloody Thunberg. There's something just not right about this whole cult of personality which has sprung up surrounding her, she's obviously a puppet being used as a front by people behind the scenes, otherwise how would a kid attract so much attention? I usually follow politics and current affairs pretty closely, but I must be in the minority as I know virtually nothing about Greta Thunberg. She speaks out on climate change, that I know, but my brain seems to automatically tune out and wander off as soon as she appears on the news. She may be right or wrong, but anything said seems to stay in my head for literally seconds. I suppose we should do our bit for the environment, however maybe the world is moving faster than I can keep up with. The wife took her car in for a service yesterday and was given the loan of an electric courtesy car. As she parked the display pinged and showed her an unsolicited message scoring her 76% for her driving skill. When she took it back this morning it pinged again with 61%. What's that all about ? World's gorn mad ! ;) I switch off the tv or mute the sound when she comes on because I find her so irritating.

Lockdown ending means Extinction Rebellion getting the superglue out to stick themselves to anything that doesn't move.

Similar to the 'p**do hunters' are the nuisances who film themselves goading coppers, tv license people, etc., or cyclists who wear helmet cams & upload footage of inconsiderate motorists.

Spot on, Arthur - particularly those who, when challenged by a copper, will come out with the line "But I'm an independent journalist" when you know they would probably have trouble spelling the word. YouTube is an excellent site, but there's a downside to some of the so called content creators and their ten minutes of fame.

YouTube is an excellent site, but there's a downside to some of the so called content creators and their ten minutes of fame. Yes the self appointed "Auditors".... There's a chap in Sheffield who does this; some of his recent postings made my blood boil.
He'd been touring local Police Station car parks and just wandering around filming stuff and all that. Claiming he was doing an "Audit"
Then he wonders why he is approached by Police and Security to ask what he is up to - and therefore creates a situation. Particularly in this Day & Age - it's something you don't need to be doing.
The Cyclist helmet cam stuff I think is only just the same as those with Dash Cams - BUT, of the material I have seen posted on Youtube - the Biker had gone out of their way to cause a fuss - with dangerous overtaking, cutting up, cutting through traffic and all that. In my eyes it makes the the person that posted it look an even bigger T*at.
I heard a debate on all this on Radio 4 some time ago, and one Youtuber compared his work to that of World in Action or Cook Report. It was then pointed out to the Youtuber that reports on those programmes were very well researched, reported and all content monitored via lawyers before it was aired.
So when allegations are made, they had the evidence to back them up and protection from lawyers.
The Youtuber was adamant that they were exposing the worst of society. (Perhaps a film about themselves would work then?)

I'm inclined to think that a fair bit of independent filming is useful and leads to proper prosecutions that otherwise wouldn't occur.
How many times do you read about crimes where unless you can provide some visual evidence the police won't investigate.
The pedo hunters, well if they wrongly accuse or assault someone they should have to answer for their actions, in court if necessary. Or don't complain when they get lumped by someone who they wrongly accuse. Certainly the police aren't that keen on them but they aren't enough police to keep up with the problem, not since the conservatives brilliant idea to cut numbers by 20,000 because not much was going wrong.
Which was because there were the extra 20,000 coppers keeping an eye on the b******s.
