I'd expect the script writers will trail through all the small print, if they are short we'd end up with: Pres 1: The Lawnmower even runs at 230v, will consume about 1000w - that's an amazing 6A - at 50hertz too.
Pres 2: So it will just plug in at the wall? Pres 1: OF COURSE. And if you want to move the lawn in another country, you can buy our add on adapter and it will work on their power. Think we've found ourselves a new vocation Nightfly.... Ah, but the downside is if the presenters go down the route of padding out with the small print, they would have to include the pages of patently obvious warnings that all new items seem to come with these days:- Pres 1:- Of course, at this stage it's best to warn you about safety. Electricity and water don't mix. Pres 2: So it's best to keep the electric mower away from my garden pond ? Pres 1: Yes, don't plunge it right into the pond or you could get a nasty electric shock. Pres 2: Buy what if it stops working ? Can I take the cover off and find out what's wrong while it's still plugged into the mains ? Pres 1: No. Contact a qualified technician. Oh, and if you do decide to take it apart, watch out for the small parts that may be loose. Children can choke on them.

I remember seeing a man years ago demonstrating a multi saw tool, he'd cut a piece of wood or plastic or tile & every single time he cut something he'd utter 'like a knife through butter'. He said it so often that I can hear his voice in my mind saying it all this time later

This proposed European Super league in football has just reared its ugly head again and the top 6 in the premier league are supposedly signing up for it (Man United, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool)
It's pure greed, it will kill the game and would be a completely boring closed shop with no promotion of relegation, I hope it gets squashed and the offending clubs are heavily penalised for it.
I was a massive football fan in the 70s, but my interest has steadily declined since and this abomination would finally kill it off

If they go and this crap tin pot, so called super league folds, and they come crawling back, they should have to start again at the very bottom. Make them play Radcliffe Borough, Bacup, Wythenshawe Town and so on, see how they like that.

Speaking of greed I get annoyed when I read that a musician has sold his back catalogue for hundreds of millions, as if their worth as an artist was measured in monetary terms. I think it was Bob Dylan I read about recently. Wasn't he a folk singer once? To think he was once shamed for playing an electric guitar.

I know a bloke called Sam Tyler who constantly falls asleep in front of the Telly and wakes to find the Test-card on TV - and the girl and clown wanting a game of Noughts & Crosses in his front room... And he still does it from time to time but nowadays awakes to see "Chasing Classic Cars" or an old episode of "Wheeler Dealers"... Sam.

You'll get the "Spring Technology" lecture - and wish the Test Card was back.

Let the greedy b***tards go; when it goes belly up - see where they end up then.
I gather if any clubs join this new tin pot "greedy pigs all stars premier" league - the EFL and UEFA are banning the clubs & players from the normal competitions (FA Cup / England games etc).
Not a huge follower of football - but they don't half a pick a time to do all this; there are much bigger things going on in the world at the moment.
I gather the new league is financed & setup by a large Bank?..... nuff said.
