This clip is from the same show. In fact this is the diary show he talks about as I missed the next entry in his diaries that says 'Thames TV say they will raise the fee to £50 & I said they could stick it'. Then following a phone call it says 'Thames TV have agreed to pay you £100 for the diary programme'. I said alright but it's a pyrrhic victory'. Not sure why he wanted treble the usual money for what was just another tv interview.
Oddly enough later in 1983 there's an entry where he talks about Mavis Nicholson as if he's not met her before- 'Met Mavis Nicholson- lovely girl who astonished me by saying she had 3 sons', despite having been interviewed by her twice before.

Good clip Arthur. Odd cutting where it cuts the Frankie interview to add other locals in. The woman who is in for two breaks is asked "how do you feel" wow top interviewing

Had a short break in Wales recently and managed to visit the Kyber Pass.
Then.
Now, about a third of the way up Snowdon following the Watkin Path. I believe this was the furthest the team ever travelled to film on location.

Thanks for putting it up Peter. I was looking in a book about the Carry On's the other day and apparently 'Carry On Up The Khyber was Peter Rogers favourite out of the lot. I've not seen the film all the way through myself.
Charles.
