Easily one of my favourite films of the 1970's!
I like how shitty London looks because it did back then. The Underground looks wrecked Its the London i grew up in and i prefer it that way. The place is totally overdeveloped now.

I love seeing the old London too Del. Manchester is exactly the same, it was brilliantly gritty looking in the 70s when I started working there now it's been ruined

Now I understand why you took down that B&Q larch lap fencing around your gaff and put up some battered and rusty old corrugated iron! Sam.

That was a good watch really gritty violence felt a bit like Regan the pilot episode of the Sweeney without the backup of the heavy mob. I thought Freddie Starr played a good part as well .

Thanks for highlighting this film. I'd never heard of it before. Not sure how it had passed me by. The trailer completely sold it to me, and it's a superb cast as well.
I will definitely make time for this one.
Really looking forward to it.
Thanks again

Just noticed the similarity between the taxi Freddie Starr drives & the taxi Terry drives in the Minder episode 'Come In T64 Your Time Is Ticking Away'.

The top one is a mark 3 Zodiac and the bottom one is an Austin A60.

Thanks again for highlighting this film
I watched if over the Easter weekend on YouTube
Whilst it's no Get Carter or Long Good Friday it has a good cast and some great performances and loads of wonderful late 70s London location shots.
Overall though it doesn't really hang together and the score has aged especially badly.
Still, for anyone who enjoys old episodes of The Sweeney for a bit of gritty 70s culture and old location shots, The Squeeze is another must see.
Thanks once again
