Listening to a recent cover of the Superman March, it starts off with the Krypton Theme and leads into the Superman March.

This evening I've been searching out extended versions of some old faves at random:
Some are better than others but I've enjoyed listening to them.

I like Duel by Propaganda, they used to use it as the theme to the rallying when it used to be on terrestrial TV. Never see it these days.

Good tune that!! I remember you'd hear a bit of it in the background at the start of Tony Mason's rally reports on old Top Gear!

Feel the need tonight to be back in a better era so I have rewound to early 1977. Mmm, memories, learning to drive in Dads Austin 1100, with the Motorola radio playing some of these.. .. Detroit Spinners Wake up Susan Abba Knowing me knowing you Elvis Moody Blue Barbara Dickson Another suitcase another hall Smokie Lay back in the arms of someone Marlin mc Coo and Billy Davis Jr You don't have to be a star Blue Gonna capture your heart Carole Bayer Sager You're moving out today Boz Scaggs Lido Shuffle Olivia Newton John Sam Rita Coolidge Were all alone....
Especially fond memories of the last one on the list, Heaton Park, summer 77 with the lovely Mandy... .
Oh, take me back let me be 17 again.. . Dear land of lost content to quote AE Houseman..

Take me back indeed! Scaggs and Lido Shuffle - Brilliant. A regular on my playlist. Rita Coolidge and We're All Alone is another that I agree, takes you right back to the golden era. Good times Cartman Gene.
