Later reverted to type with a trip to 1975.... 5000volts I'm on fire Jigsaw Sky high Dee Clarke Ride a wild horse Bowie Space Oddity Abba SOS The Who Squeeze Box Classic selection there Carty; Jigsaw and Dee Clarke especially take me right back to those good ol' days: Sorry to say that the clip was not the original video to accompany the song but the er, sound quality was better. Okay, gratuitous? Shallow? Yup! Guilty as charged, I make no excuse. Sam.

Amazing live performance at Wembley in 1979, possibly even better than the studio version! The Saint

Funny coincidence on today's song. A record I really like is Living Thing by ELO from late 76,and I remember the first time I heard it was in about December 76, in Dads Austin 1100, we were on the way home from somewhere in Lancashire and were driving through the Rossendale valley just north of Bury when it came on and I loved it.
As a result, I tend to slightly associate the song with this area. Today, I had to visit the same place and the song came into my head. Absent mindedly I put the car radio on and, incredibly it came on! It doesn't get that much airplay now either.

Another time where I've let the music player select at random then continued with the same artist.
I know they're not to everyone's taste but they are to mine...

Always thought this was the kinks lol i have been listening to this radio station online through tunein.com/ it might be French but it plays loads of good 60s music obscure and popular that other radio stations don't. It has opened my eyes to loads of bands that i wouldn't think of listening to it even played the Mc5 live version of kick out the jams uncut lol www.liveonlineradio.net/sq/france/oui-fm-rock-60s.htm .

Great choice there Jock and quite coincidental as I've been listening to The Doors this week on the 8-track in the P6 while on the way to the squad office. The top one for me has to be "Riders On The Storm" closely followed by "Light My Fire" and "Love Her Madly":
