Practical Classics Restoration Show 2016

I went along to the Practical Classics Restoration Show at the NEC on Saturday and took some smudges, thought I'd start posting some in here...



The Ian Ogilvy 'Saint' XJ-S...










I spent ages looking at the TR7s (there were several on display) and I kept thinking back to October 1978 when I went with my Dad to the first proper motor show ever put on at the NEC, walking into the first hall we were greeted by a brand spanking new red TR7 sat on a plinth, I begged my Dad to buy one, his reply was ''don't be daft son, we'll never get all six of us in there!".

I still want one...

I was never one for the TR7s but the Dolly Sprints were the mutt's nuts. An apprentice that I worked alongside had one and I remember racing him while I was on my 550 Suzuki along the Staines bypass and getting well into three figures (your honour) before having to ease up for the roundabout.

They're all cracking motors but i like the Dolly Sprint or the P6 the best.
