Wonderful work again DE. What an area! All that effort is very much appreciated mate
Gene.
Thanks too Gene, Del and the other lads for your appreciation. I'll do a couple more tonight and hopefully the rest will be up before Friday. I've also included a few unseen locations which get mentioned too. Great work DE, thanks for taking the time to post all the photos The Saint

Nah gave the pub the swerve as its a defo locals pub that one and had to be somewhere else soon after too. Probably would've been okay for a quick pint but don't know who frequents there and it's on the way to a few deprived areas around there so best to take a quick pic and leave the lads in there be mate. To be honest/fair no one in any of the areas I visited gave me any issues when checking out these locations. I did have a nice pint in a couple of others I'll post tomorrow though!

Unseen LocationsEven though these locations are not shown I've included them here as they get mentioned in Boys from the Blackstuff. 1 Belle Vale Children's Home
Besford Road, Belle Vale, Liverpool, L25This was mentioned "I've been to Marsh Lane, Belle Vale!" by Yosser in Yosser's Story after his children were taken into care. This facility was at Besford Road in the Belle Vale/Gateacre area of Liverpool. It was closed/redeveloped into housing in 1988. I did think about including the "Marsh Lane" location Yosser mentions in Bootle but there wasn't a children's home in that location (it was/is Knowsley Road in Bootle) so didn't include it here. 2 "The Eagle" The Eagle pub, Blacstock Street, Vauxhall, Liverpool, L3 Former Eagle & Child pub, Liverpool Road, Page Moss, Knowsley, L36This is referenced as "The Manager of The Eagle's got a shotgun!" by the nervy pub landlord of The Green Man in George's Last Ride. It could refer to The Eagle which is nearby to the Green Man in Liverpool's Vauxhall however it may more likely refer to the now gone Eagle & Child pub which was in Page Moss a somewhat notorious pub on the Huyton/Liverpool boundary that Alan Bleasdale used to drink in, in the 1970's. The Eagle & Child was closed in the late 1990's and the site redeveloped into a McDonalds and Lidl supermarket a few years later. 3 Baltic Fleet
Wapping, Liverpool L1The Baltic Fleet was mentioned in George's Last Ride and is the pub Chrissie mean't to take George for a drink. This is a great pub and if you ever visit Liverpool I'd say a visit to the Baltic Fleet is a must. Yes it's had some changes with the regeneration of the area akin to that of pubs in regenerated areas of London but IMO that's a good thing and fingers crossed should remain and become stronger as a consequence hopefully. www.balticfleetpubliverpool.com/---------------------------------------------- Well that's that for now. If I can find some of the other locations I'll post them up ASAP and hope you enjoy them as much as I did discovering and appreciating them.

Fantastic work throughout DE. Looking through them all again it has given me the urge to watch the series again as I have the box set but haven't watched them for years.
Thanks again for all the work you've put in
Gene.

An amazing set of Now & Then's DE. Well done for going and getting them. They have changed my perception of Liverpool entirely - not a single car on bricks spotted I'm familiar with the Albert Dock area with The Beatles Museum being there. It's remarkable how much has changed in regenerating the area, but with keeping the infrastructure in tact. By the look of one of the screen grabs from BFTBS, the dock has completely silted up.
