As there is a fan of this series on here, I thought I would start a thread on it. I own both box sets of this classic show and I have managed to watch all 118 episodes - over a few months, of course! :) My favourite episode is probably the first one with the georgeous Shirley Eaton!

'The Convenient Monster' episode, set in Scotland, always seemed to get repeated more than others on ITV3. Dodgy sets and Suzan Farmer putting on a Scottish accent in this one!

Yes I like The Saint very much indeed. It was a great series, and I too have all the boxsets. I think it was the best thing Roger Moore ever did. I like Roger and enjoy seeing him on the occasional chat show. It was funny, how during fights, Simon Templar always found time to smooth down his hair, when it got messed up in the middle of the action. I'll have to watch a few episodes again soon. As Vienna say's it's nice seeing Shirley Eaton, it's nice seeing her in anything.

Believe it or not but my mum often sees Shirley Eaton in the local supermarket!

Believe it or not but my mum often sees Shirley Eaton in the local supermarket! The Saint Shirley was gorgeous in her heyday. I thought she lived abroad though. She must have moved back if she did.

I used to enjoy The Saint. Sadly his cars wouldn't have held up in an underground rescue scenario, unlike my Mole, but they certainly had a bit more style.
The Volvo P1800 coupe was my favourite and I'm pleased to see that it was rescued from rotting away and restored.

I'm about half way through the b&w series boxset and enjoying it no end. I'd forgoten how good some of the episodes were. Like a lot of the other ITC stuff, for some reason I enjoy the episodes set in Blighty more than the 'foreign' stuff, seeing the white Volvo rasping away round all those old country lanes and villages hits the spot, and the location shots around London are just great... there's hardly any traffic in most of the scenes! Typical of the period, some of the guest stars appear in more than one episode, the lovely Justine Lord for instance appears in four different episodes. Looking forward to watching the rest and the colour boxset is on order
