Absolutely brilliant addition Gene! I love watching Minder (The Waterman years) and very much look forward to the locations section. Steed

IMPORTANT UPDATE! As members will already be aware, there are two versions of 4:3tv available to all users based on what device they are viewing the forum on. If you are on a desktop computer, you will get the full experience with all features available. If however you are viewing on a mobile device such as a phone or tablet, when you visit 4:3tv, you will initially be presented with the "Mobile" version of the forum, which has limitations on some features at best, while some features were not available at all. Those members wishing to immerse themselves in the full version of the site had to scroll to the bottom of the main page and click on the "Desktop" button at the bottom right side of the page.
This is something that I've not been keen on since building the forum 3 and a half years ago. Personally, I would rather EVERY member get the full on experience rather than have to manually switch to the desktop version. Up until now, this has not been possible but after some work behind the scenes, I have now successfully disabled the "Mobile" feature completely. Therefore all members will go immediately to the full desktop version whenever they visit the forum. The "Mobile" version will no longer be available.
Also, the update will be a major step forward in forum security as it will go even further in preventing troublesome members bypassing some of the system security measures that were ineffective in the mobile version of the site.
I hope all those members who have been logging in regularly or even exclusively on mobile devices will appreciate this huge improvement to their overall experience on 4:3tv.
Gene.

A good idea there Gene to remove the irratating "mobile" version and automatically get the "desktop" version instead when not on the computer Thanks for sorting this out Vi

It certainly had a lot of differences between the two so this upgrade works out better all round.

After a template update this evening, all members logging in will be presented with a pop up box containing the following message: This is genuine and nothing to worry about. By clicking on save, it just refreshes your profile data and saves the information so it displays correctly in the new template. As the message says, if you ignore the pop up, it will appear every time you open a new page on the forum. Thanks for your cooperation Gene & Sam.

Today I tidied up the TV & Film section and created a sub board for dedicated Then & Now threads. I then moved any relative Then & Now threads into the new sub board. This should make the threads easier to find for everyone.
