Sad to hear this news. Jimmy was a legend of the game thanks to his players union work and his many years as a broadcaster.

I don't think any other person has had such a bigger influence of English football than Jimmy Hill. And he's probably the most passionate person about football that there's ever been.
Introduced the 3 points for a win, an all seater stadium, a family section in the stadium, ticket restrictions on visiting fans to combat the scourge of football hooliganism, and composed a song for Coventry city; the list goes on and on. He was a well respected pundit and presenter of Match Of The Day, and set the benchmark for presenting football on tv.
Very sad to learn of his death. Sadly suffering from Alzheimers in his later years, may God be with him.

I'm not much of a football watcher, but it's sad news to hear of his passing. He was such a famous name and so influential in football during the second half of the 20th Century. RIP Jimmy Hill Vienna
