Yep, and the rest of the squad avoided the mess. Never said it was pretty. Wow didn't know that one was loitering at one of our pre meet drinks ;( FFS take it she wasn't in those wierd clothes she liked to use for her professional image that night either eh? Also nice to see she's 'down with the Hood kids' in gentrified Hammersmith too... hmm She was dressed in the stupid gear. As I said, it really wasn't pretty.

you should have had a crack at her Windy. You never know she might of wanted to share a cider or two with you. Could have been on her expenses credit card too ?

With the exception of the Sweeney people Delboy mentioned above, who'd I'd seen on the meets;
I first saw Dennis Waterman playing in a charity football game as part of a Feit I went to with my family in Bricket Wood, St Albans Herts, in 1978. I got another older boy to point him out to me as I'd heard that "the man from The Sweeney" was playing) - knew about The Sweeney then as my dad watched it, series 4 was yet to be screened as well.
About 4 times now I've seen Chris Barrie of "Red Dwarf" and The Brittas Empire fame;
3 times at classic cars shows at Luton, (first time I saw him in 1993), Birmingham NEC recent years (on stage answering classic car questions with Ed China and Mike Brewer - two more!) and at Old Warden, Biggleswade in 2011. The 4th was the most interesting as me and my brother and mates were on holiday in Bournemouth in 1994, and saw Chris with the Brittas Empire Cast playing 10 pin bowling at a Bowling Alley.
Initially the rather snotty jobsworth bowling alley manager, told my brothers mate to keep away from them, and accused him (went a bit over the top too....) of bothering the cast, although my brothers mate was a bit naïve I think at 16 and possibly didn't think but....... I don't remember him going too near them.....
But after it was closing time, an American female friend of my brothers was able to use her charms and went and chatted with the cast a little bit and got Chris Barrie to chat to our group and he was absolutely fine and was his relaxed witty self. He happily had his photograph taken with my brother and his group. (which my brother has kept as one of his 5 minutes of fame pics) He chatted about Red Dwarf when the lads said they enjoyed the series. He seemed to appreciate the respect he had from fans, I thought he seemed a top bloke!
Bizarrely......... on the same holiday, when my brother was driving through the town and stopped his A reg MK1 Astra, to let 2 blokes cross the road briefly, I realised who one of them was, when he turned round to nod a thank you - It was Matthew Kelly! In those days he had the 70's style hairstyle and beard, we let him continue walking. (Some workmates who I told the story too, when I got back, said we should have run him over........)
Also have sat and listened to a classic car talk at the NEC with Quentin Wilson, (I know even car blokes can't stand him - but I've seen another celebrity anyway).
And Jeremy Clarkson at a modern car motor show in the 90's. One mate of mine has actually met and chatted with him a bit and says behind the scenes he's a fairly relaxed and a bit more of a sensible sort of bloke than you'd think apparently, and all The Top Gear hype and public Bravado is just that...... mostly done for show. But recent events were possibly down to "Oh 'mI going to have a lads night out tonight after some hard work" coupled with disappointment which went a bit overboard.......

Jeremy Clarkson, Malcolm Fraser (past Aussie PM, I got my pic taken with him at the tennis...my Dad was the fan and made me do it), a few Aussie rules footballers (no one would know them on this forum) John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg (playing an exhibition match so both happy to see fans afterwards) and Elle McPherson (early days when she was promoting her lingerie range).

Your post has reminded me of when I bumped into Ed China a couple of years ago (quite literally). It was at Crystal Palace at the start of that year's London to Brighton Mini run, I'd just taken some photos of a very rare Wood & Picket Cooper S and turned round and walked straight into him, I apologised and he said 'alright mate, nice Mini that isn't it?'. He looks tall on the telly but let me tell you he's bloody ginormous in the real life, he towered over me (not difficult I know!). Also chatted with Quentin Wilson for ten minutes or so at a Mini gathering at the BMIHT museum at Gaydon last year. A really nice easy going bloke who knows his stuff and loves talking about motors old and new. Villain

A few I’ve met are: Bob Paisley – at a Liverpool FC tour as a kid. Shook hands and had time for a quick chat. Peter Hook – ex-New Order chatted with him at a few of Hooky’s solo gigs and at a book signing. Nigel Pivaro – chatted with him at one of Hooky’s gigs in Manchester in 2007. Was a sound bloke and not being a Coronation Street fan probably helped as we got talking for a while about music some of his more recent journalistic work for a local media in Salford too. Mark Moore – of S-Express fame who was DJ-ing at a club I was at and had time for a quick chat too – seemed top bloke too. Duncan Ferguson - drunk as a skunk in a bar in Liverpool but generally okay. Harry ‘Aitch’ Fielder, John Lyons, Ted Childs, Cheryl Kennedy, Prue Gee, Georgina Hale and Tom Clegg – from the meets we’ve have had over the years and a big thanks to our own guv Gene for the hard work he’s had getting these guys to attend too! Sure there’s a few more but these are the ones I can think of at the moment. Other’s I’ve seen around but not met as such are Dennis Waterman at the BFI, Phil Redmond and Paul Barber (at separate times) at Euston station, Ian McCulloch (Echo and the Bunnymen) at Liverpool Lime Street, Stefan Dennis (Neighbours) in Liverpool city centre and (possibly) Lynda Bellingham on a bus from Barnes to Hammersmith definitely sounded like her.
