I'm With The Band (IWTB)
Whilst channel hopping the other evening I found- I'm With The Band on BBC1.
The all star band is not a new concept, loads of famous older musicians tour similar things. The closest offering to this sort of thing previously is probably Jools Holland's Later show which showcases bands and artists collaborate on a few bits. I'm With The Band is all covers. Led by Gary Barlow on keys and vocals, other members on the show were Jamie Cullum - piano and vocals, James Bay - guitar and vocals, Mica Paris - vocals, Guy Chambers - keyboards, Tom Fletcher - guitar and vocals, Danya Fisher -bass and Donavan Hepburn -drums.
I stopped watching Later with Jools Holland quite a while ago. My issue with Later was you would often watch it and it wouldn't have anything other than obscure upcoming bands and an old artist or two often with mediocre new material. I was interested to watch IWTB to see if it was better than the above and considering the strength of the band I was expecting good things. Much like Later, some things worked well others not so much (See The Bee Gees cover). That being said this format has potential to create some great cover version of some well known tracks.
I'm With The Band (4/6/21) The sound isn't great on the upload but if interested it's on iPlayer

Nothing edgy or new there, just the usual BBC favourites.

Not sure if this was a one off or whether others will come in and out of the lineup.
