Anybody watch this last night ?
Simon Groom made me cringe with all his puns - "I'll come round and chop your cucumber any time", and the underwear puns. But it was lovely to see Maggie Philbin in a corset.
Most shocking was Faith Brown's attempt to do an impression of Rusty Lee. Even G Brandreth thought it bad.
Too much faux shock and outrage again from the talking heads.
Barry Took made a brief appearance on a "Points Of View" clip.

I thought the most shocking thing about the show was how big Bob Mills now looks. Too many talking heads & no need for that Geordie Shore bint. It was sad that of all the clips they could've shown they chose to make something as innocent as Terry Nutkins & his seal seem dodgy. We have progressed in certain ways but one thing that defines the current era we live in for me is cynicism, I'd much rather have the innocence of a time when people didn't sneer, judge & laugh at everything. Maggie Philbin looked very nice. This was a straightforward Blue Peter feature on the history of corsets, but of course they had to sexualise it ( not that I'm doing that )

Too many talking heads & no need for that Geordie Shore bint. That bint will be Charlotte Crosby, who was given an 18 month driving ban after she was found guilty of drink driving.

There must be 2 shows each of the 60s, 70s & 80s ( the third show next week is on the 60s ) because how could you do a show on controversial 80s tv & not mention the big one...

It's that controversial Minipops cannot even be shown today

Possibly Channel 4 wiped all the Minipops tapes, but who remembers the even more controversial 'Kiddystare'?

Well fancy that, cheers Arthur
As I said on a previous post, I like looking at the clips for the nostalgia but the vox pops really get on my nerves. :w***er: Do they think that those programmes were made deliberately to shock/offend? They were of their time and in the case of Blue Peter, the clip of the girls in corsets was innocent enough, in fact they were looking at it through today's perverted eyes where every pop starlet gets her lils out in pop videos.

I remember Minipops I was 9 at the time and thought it were good. I can remember feeling peed off they only made one series. As for the other show I've never heard of it.
