Some sad news just in tonight. Ranking Roger of The Beat, has just died, of a brain tumour. He was 56. Really sad news. Great band, great songs, great performer. Ranking Roger and his music made the 80s great. RIP

Roger's version of The Beat released a couple of albums in the last few years and they are both superb. If you enjoyed them back in the day then, do yourself a favour, and check them both out....

Incredibly sad news. I saw the original line up a few times and Gouldy was a brilliant musician.
